The Lumières at La Ciotat

Description

The Lumières brothers were the worldwide pioneers of cinema, projecting their famous film of the arrival of a train at La Ciotat, in 1895. Audience reactions varied from fascination to fear. But we do not see the brothers in the film, as they were, naturally, behind the camera. For the first time, we now see them at work, making history in the Mediterranean sunshine.
